‘Glee’ season 6 spoilers: Dianna Agron to be joined by Jayma Mays, Mark Salling, more
It was pretty clear a few days ago that Dianna Agron was going to be returning to “Glee” for at least one episode moving forward; now, we’ve found out for sure just who will be joining her.
According to E! News, Mark Salling, Jenna Ushkowitz, and Jayma Mays have all been confirmed for guest spots, which means that almost every original cast member (at least those who work within McKinley High) has been confirmed to be returning. The only real question mark is Heather Morris, but given that we saw Brittany at the end of last season, we would be stunned if season 6 ended without her.
As for how these characters will be included in the story, it isn’t too hard to figure out. Rachel Berry (Lea Michele) will start season 6 back in Lima, looking to get the McKinley glee club back up and running after Sue was forced to shut it down for financial reasons last season. Puck, Tina, and Quinn could all come on at some point to help her, while Emma is presumably still a part of school somewhere with her various handouts. Meanwhile, her husband Will is over at Carmel High, where he is the new coach of Vocal Adrenaline. It is basically a chance for him to continue doing what he loves, even if he doesn’t get to do it at the school that started it all for him.
There is no word on when “Glee” season 6 will premiere, but given the woeful “Utopia” ratings, it is clear that Fox will have some holes on their schedule moving forward. The problem is that production for the show started a little late, so the earliest we could presumably see the show premiere is November following the World Series.
