‘Fashion Police’ host, legendary comic Joan Rivers reportedly on life support
This is one of the sadder stories that we’ve had to report about for some time. Legendary comedienne Joan Rivers, who is currently the host of “Fashion Police” on E!, is currently on life support after some serious complications earlier in the week led to her being hospital.
TMZ is the first to report this news, and the family is now set to reportedly take a few days in order to determine whether or not her health improves enough for things to turn around for her. Unfortunately with this sort of thing, there are never really any guarantees at all.
We know that there are a good many people out there who are not tremendously big fans of Rivers, but we also hope at the same time that many still do recognize the talent and what she has really meant for the entertainment industry. She’s fought network censorship, and we feel like because of her, so many comics today are able to do what they are on the stage. She’s never been afraid to speak her mind, even though these opinions from time to time may be controversial. She’s also taken the “it’s just a joke” philosophy to new levels, where she goes for the shock in the comedy above all else.
The past few years have also marked a big career resurgence for Rivers, sparked originally in part by “The Celebrity Apprentice.” It was after that we saw “Fashion Police” come around for her, and she started to really start to be noteworthy in the touring world again. She always performed comedy gigs, but more were starting to take note.
Obviously, we are going to have some further updates on this story as they come out, but for the time being, we just send all of our well-wishes to her family and friends.
Hopefully,
