‘The Vampire Diaries’ season 6 spoilers: A new mystery for Paul Wesley’s Stefan?

What is coming up on “The Vampire Diaries“? There are a variety of different stories ahead, but one that has not been touched on that extensively just yet is of Paul Wesley’s Stefan.

Well, that may be changing … at least for the time being. According to TV Guide, Stefan is not actually going to be around Nina Dobrev’s Elena or many other characters when the show picks up this fall. Instead, he will be off somewhere with a new profession, which we are admittedly more than happy to see for one simple reason: It shows that these people are not made of money! One of our biggest pet peeves has always been that these characters somehow manage to afford all these ridiculous Decade Dance costumes and nice ensembles like they are millionaires. We’re sure that Stefan and Damon could have some savings at this point, but this much? It’s like the people on “The Bachelor” with their endless wardrobe choices night in and night out.

There are clearly some other things that we’d love to see from Stefan, especially when it comes to a certain possible love interest in Caroline. Unfortunately, there has not been very much movement on the news front here, and it is very well possible that they end up friends … maybe. We’ll keep holding out hope, since if they do get together now, they will have definitely handled the buildup in a perfect way that has us thrilled for the payoff.
