MTV’s ‘Awkward’ season 4 spoilers: How is Matty handling Eva shocker?

Given that it has been a while since there has been any real scoop on “Awkward” at all, we are very pleased with the fact that there’s been quite a bit the past few days. (Most likely, you can thank the MTV Video Music Awards for that!)

There is also little doubt that one of the biggest questions right now revolves around Matty, and whether or not he is really going to be okay with becoming a father. Speaking to E! News in a new interview, Beau Mirchoff (who plays this character) explained that we are at least going to see some personal growth from him in the wake of Eva’s pregnancy shocker:

“Matty’s getting more mature and he’s getting ready for fatherhood … But there are so many levels of drama, and he’s going to be going through a lot.”

We do want to see Matty prepared for the future … but to be fair, we don’t want it to be this particular future for him. Eva is a dangerous threat to him, and we still don’t know for sure if she is really 100% pregnant. Even if she is, then there is still no guarantee that the baby is Matty’s. After all, look at everything that the woman has lied about so far! Is it really that far out of the realm of possibility that she would lie about something else?
