‘NCIS’ season 12: See Michael Weatherly take on the ALS Ice Bucket Challenge
When your boss puts your name out there for the ALS Ice Bucket Challenge, you really have to listen … and this is precisely what Michael Weatherly chose to do this week.
Following the video made by CBS boss Les Moonves (which also led to his wife Julie Chen doing the challenge on “Big Brother” this past Thursday), Weatherly is one of the “NCIS” cast members to issue an official response, and douse himself with the cold water. He in this case chose to do his challenge video from New Orleans, which is where he is filming right now for an “NCIS: New Orleans” crossover episode. (You can see the video by clicking on the link in the Twitter embed below.)
Weatherly’s video is short and sweet, but also fun and in the spirit of the challenge. He and the show’s official Twitter account are asking for donations to ALSA, one of the many great organizations who have raised a tone of money as a result of this.
This video follows up Weatherly’s co-star Brian Dietzen, who was one of the first TV stars to really get aboard the phenomenon early this month before it started to really take off. Hopefully, we’ll get some more of these videos soon! (Sadly, Mark Harmon is not on social media, so there’s no word yet on whether or not he will take part.)
The new season of “NCIS” premieres on CBS September 23, so we will definitely have some further updates related to the show, or its stars raising money for charity, in the near future. You can see everything that we’ve published right now on the subject of the show at this link.
