‘The Vampire Diaries’ season 6: See Ian Somerhalder, Nina Dobrev in first promo

Want to get your heart smashed a little bit into pieces? Well, you may have that via the first teaser that has been released now for “The Vampire Diaries” season 6. It reminds us that Damon is not gone from the show, but at the same time, he is gone from Elena’s life … at least for the time being.

In the video below, you can see specifically what we are talking about as Nina Dobrev’s character struggles to move on with her life. She still sees Damon in visions and almost everywhere that she goes, and thanks to that cannot really move forward. Also, she’s lashing out.

Luckily, a vision of Ian Somerhalder’s sort-of-dead vampire shows up to tell her to let him go, but will she really do that? Just as he and Bonnie are off in whatever realm that they are, maybe there will be some suspicion in Mystic Falls that these two people can still come back. After all, if Alaric can find a way to be not-dead after spending so much time seemingly gone since season 3, isn’t it possible that someone else could also find a way?

The new season of the show will premiere come Thursday, October 2, but given that we have so much time still to go until then, you have to think that the show is not anywhere done promoting this just yet. We imagine that we will have many more teasers to come, so be on the lookout for those!
