‘The Vampire Diaries’ season 6 spoilers: The latest ‘Originals’ crossover news
Do you love it when the cast of “The Vampire Diaries” has something to do with “The Originals”? Then most likely, you are going to be pleased by the news that yet another crossover episode is coming.
Speaking to Entertainment Weekly, executive producer Julie Plec confirms that this is an episode that the team is working on, and other than the fact that Alaric is apparently not involved, there are few other details being shared:
“It looks like we are going to be able to do a crossover in the first half of the season, and I can’t tell you what or who or when because it hasn’t been shot yet, but things are looking good.”
Personally, what we would like to see at this point is something that brings more of the Mystic Falls family to New Orleans for a change rather than the other way around. For example, trying to get Stefan and Marcel into the same room, see how Bonnie (if she’s back from wherever she is) and Davina get along, or have Caroline see Klaus on his new home turf for a change. All of these feel like they could be interesting threads, but the last thing we want is something that is forced and unnecessary. We know there are these temptations, after all, to get the entire crew of the two shows together just for the sake of doing so.
Plec also confirms in this interview that she will most likely be directing her first episode of the show after around the midway point of the season. This is something that Paul Wesley just did for the first time last season.
