‘The Fosters’ season 2, episode 10 review: It all falls apart for Callie, Sophie

The Fosters -The Fosters” season 2 ended its summer season on Monday night, but not exactly in a way that will leave everyone smiling. As a matter of fact, this simply set the stage for even more pain and heartache.

The biggest thing of note here is that all of those plans for Callie’s adoption? Well, they are almost completely torn away thanks to what happened to Sophia. She ripped up those abandonment papers, and to make matters worse for her, Robert Quinn is not interested in signing them a second time. He wants to be there for her, but unfortunately, Callie is not quite so keen on this now. She doesn’t want to live with him, and all of this pain, anger, and resentment over her whole life ultimately led her back to Brandon again.

Thanks to all of the high drama surrounding the Callie story, it’s pretty easy in the end to forget about everything else. This includes what happened with Lena at her job, Mariana and Jesus have a very heated confrontation with their birth mother, and an assortment of other important stories. This was one of the craziest episode of the entire series, and also one that has us in a weird place moving into the second half of the season. In the event that the show does not go beyond season 2, we really want to see most of the characters in a happy place … or at least a place where they can start to smile again. Grade: B.
