ABC’s ‘Revenge’ season 4 spoilers: ‘Mentalist’ guest to be Victoria’s … friend?

Well it looks like Victoria Grayson may not be as completely alone on “Revenge” season 4; there is one person outside of her family (at least) still interested in giving her some support.

According to a report from TVLine, actor Nestor Serrano has been tapped to appear in several episodes of the upcoming season as Edward Alvarez, a police chief who may actually be able to have something to offer to Madeleine Stowe’s character. Showrunner Sunil Nayar had the following to say on the part now:

“We’re just starting to explore his character right now … He’s a friend of Victoria’s on the force who really has her back at a time when she needs someone to have her back. We’re not sure exactly where we’re headed with the character, but we like the idea of her having an ally in a position of an authority.”

Serrano has been one of the most-prolific guest stars of the past decade or so, given how we have seen him in “Castle,” “The Mentalist,” “Chicago Fire,” “NCIS,” “Graceland,” and countless more shows. One of his most-notable credits to us is on “Dexter” when he played Hector Estrada, the man with serious ties to the murder of Dexter Morgan’s mother.

“Revenge” season 4 will begin with Victoria locked up in an asylum after Emily finds a way to finally destroy her. However, it is still to be seen whether or not this place will remain Emily’s place of residence for a very long time.
