‘The Originals’ season 2 spoilers: The major mission for Joseph Morgan’s Klaus
While we know that there are some out there who love happy Klaus or sympathetic Klaus on “The Originals,” there is still one version of this character that appeals to us more than any other: Angry Klaus. When this guy has a vendetta, Joseph Morgan just lights up the screen and brings out many of those other emotions.
Specifically, the motivation behind Klaus’ season 2 rage is something that probably was clear from the moment the season 1 finale aired: He wants his daughter Hope back, who Rebekah was forced to take away since this New Orleans is clearly no place to raise a child. So expect violence, scowls, and also plenty of threats to boot. Just take a look at what executive producer Michael Narducci had to say to TV Guide for more:
“Klaus has decided that he will only imagine a day when he’ll be reunited with [Hope] while he destroys everyone keeping that child away from him … So he will make everyone [pay].”
In the end, we expect the biggest challenge for Klaus to be, once again, himself. His attitude and lust for power is what eventually led to Mikael and Esther being back in the picture, and for him making so many enemies among the regular characters on the show. He’s going to have to conquer these demons if he wants any sort of peace; unfortunately, the fact that Claire Holt has joined another show in a major role starts to make us think that baby Hope is going to be gone for quite a while, regardless.
