‘Longmire’ season 4: See Katee Sackhoff’s emotional Ice Bucket Challenge
For the most part, the majority of the Ice Bucket Challenge videos that we have shared over the weekend have been of the funny variety. While they are definitely still for a wonderful cause in raising ALS awareness and funds, they have had a pretty distinct tone to them.
The one created by “Longmire” star and “Battlestar Galactica” alum Katee Sackhoff, meanwhile, take a different approach. In this one, Sackhoff tributes Scott Lewis, and rather than speaking before dropping the ice bucket over her head, she holds up a series of cue cards. It is a little more serious than the other videos, but it’s still inspiring and there are at least a couple of moments in here that should make you smile.
The charity that Sackhoff mentions in here is Project ALS, which is an organization that we have personally mentioned in many articles already. It’s a great place to donate if you are looking for a worthy cause right now.
One of the other traditions of the Ice Bucket Challenge is to name a couple of people of your own that you want to see take part. In the case of Katee, she opts to call out both both “Lost” star Harold Perrineau and “Gossip Girl” alum Michelle Trachtenberg. So far, everyone from athletes to movie stars to ordinary people have taken part in this, and the trend still has some life left in it.
