‘Grey’s Anatomy’ season 11 spoilers: Callie, Arizona, and the source of friction
Just when you would think that things for Callie and Arizona on “Grey’s Anatomy” would start to turn around for the better once again, there is something else that comes into play and starts to cause all sorts of drama and friction for them.
This time around, this very thing is actually something that the two parties both really feel like they want: Another child. The two parties are going to be looking for a surrogate, and as executive producer Shonda Rhimes tells TVLine in a new interview, this process will be what opens up some old wounds that stem from this past season:
“It brings up some other issues for them … The speed at which they approach this and then the process [itself] illuminates some things for them.”
While we expect some tremendous, at-times heartbreaking conflict for these two characters, let us also go on the record here in say that the last thing we really expect to see happen here is another story revolving all around a potential breakup. Given that the two just went through the process of looking like their relationship was over, it would be extremely repetitive for them to do the same thing all over again right now. We expect them to work through this, but whether or not they actually get another child into their family remains to be seen.
The new “Grey’s Anatomy” season will premiere come Thursday, September 25, and we will surely have more news before then.
