‘Grey’s Anatomy’ season 11 spoilers: Ellen Pompeo teases latest story

You’ve probably heard “the season of Meredith” time and time again to describe “Grey’s Anatomy” season 11, and we’re now seeing the latest photographic evidence of just one part of it!

In the post below from Ellen Pompeo’s Instagram, you can see the actress alongside Kelly McCreary with the caption of “Sister from another Mister??”. This is an obvious reference to McCreary’s Margaret Pierce telling Webber that Ellis Grey is her birth mom.

Is this story going to be a big part of the season ahead? You have to think so, and what makes it intriguing to us is that it will be bunched against a variety of other problems that Meredith will be dealing with. One of the most notable ones here is that she is going to have to handle the reality that she and Derek are currently wanting some very different things with their lives. He is interested in getting to a different part of the country, while she wants to stay firmly parked in Seattle.

Hopefully, Margaret is going to represent for her a chance to have someone else she can grow close to in the wake of Cristina’s departure from Seattle. With her not having a Lexie in her life anymore and with her marriage in shambles, the only other person who could be a candidate is Derek’s sister Amelia. After all, we do know that Caterina Scorsone is going to be a regular this year after turning up for some guest appearances near the end of this past season.

The premiere of “Grey’s Anatomy” will be on Thursday, September 25, and we will have some further updates on everything soon.
