‘Pretty Little Liars’ season 5 will still have a Halloween special … sort of
“Pretty Little Liars” surprised many when they announced earlier this year that they would have a Christmas episode rather than the standard Halloween one, but we are starting to hear some news that may make fans almost as satisfied.
ABC Family has confirmed that during their annual “13 Nights of Halloween” programming event, the cast and producers of the show will get together for a “Fan Appreciation Special” that will feel in many ways like a roundtable discussion or an episode of “Talking Dead.” In here, you can have some of your own questions answered about the show, and hear what the cast has to say about some of the scariest scenes that they have shot since first signing up for the show.
How do you get your questions asked? It’s a pretty simple process that begins with either going to the show’s official Facebook page, or going on Twitter and using the hashtag #PLLHalloween. Obviously, only a select number of questions will make it into the broadcast.
Now that we’ve said all of this, we’ll pour a little bit of praise on the network for coming up with a way to get “Pretty Little Liars” still roped into your Halloween plans. They are well aware that this is one of their most-popular properties by a mile, and of course they are going to do everything in their power to ensure that people still love and talk about it year-round. Thanks to this, the crazy thing is that there will not be a period of more than two months or so without a new event related to the show between now and when the show ends in March 2015. Crazy. Even still, the show will end then, and then begin again just three months later with season 6. That’s a shorter break than many broadcast shows.
