‘True Blood’ season 7, episode 9 preview: Alexander Skarsgard, Anna Paquin in ‘Love Is to Die’
Here is a harrowing thought for you tonight: In just the span of one week, we will be writing a preview for the “True Blood” series finale. We haven’t loved every episode this season, but we’re absolutely still going to miss the show when it’s gone. Everything is coming together, and showrunner Brian Buckner has worked hard on ensuring that every thread is tied together.
This brings us in the end to “Love Is to Die,” the penultimate episode of the show that will further tackle the concept of mortality … and also whether or not all of these characters can have something close toa happy ending. We know at least that Eric Northman may be cured, for example, but he is far from out of the woods.
For more right now, just take a look at the official synopsis below via HBO:
“Sookie (Anna Paquin) retreats in confusion. Sam (Sam Trammell) makes a choice. Jason (Ryan Kwanten) exercises uncharacteristic restraint, while Eric (Alexander Skarsgård) faces a dilemma after being caught in a lie.”
The biggest death early in tonight’s episode was Violet, but we imagine that some of the worst are still to come for the show. Given that this is “True Blood,” do you really think that the show would end without a few jaw-dropping moments to have you talking for an incredibly long time? Personally, we just hope that there is a nice mixture of that heavy drama and some comedy that we’ve come to love on the show since the beginning.
