‘Hell on Wheels’ season 4: Watch a different sort of promo now
For the fourth season of “Hell on Wheels,” you have to give AMC at least a decent amount of credit for trying to be creative.
The new promo below does not give away anything on the show’s plot, at least unless you are coming into it with zero knowledge whatsoever of what the show is about. Still, we do find it very cool for a number of different reasons. It’s very stylistic, almost like we’re watching a narrated version of the “Game of Thrones” theme song or a cut-scene before the start of a video game. It also gives you a cool sense of the west, the construction of the railroad, and the hope to have cities follow it virtually everywhere that it goes. This reminds us of the ambition that went along with the construction of these so many years ago, and how those people must have felt exploring uncharted territory.
So do we hope that the show does more of these? It’s going to be hard for the fourth season, given that we’ve already seen the basic premise now. Still, there is probably going to be an opportunity to see something like this down the road, especially if the show gets renewed for a fifth season. (We know that this is mostly wishful thinking right now, but we do very much hope that it happens at some point if the ratings stay good enough.)
The season 4 premiere is Sunday night, and believe us when we say that we’re going to continue to have scoop as it comes out.
