‘The Vampire Diaries’ season 6 spoilers: Meet a trio of new characters

Love “The Vampire Diaries“? Since you are reading this article, we’re going to go ahead and assume that this answer is “yes.” We are also going to be dishing out now some of the latest casting scoop about who could cross paths with Nina Dobrev and the rest of the cast when the show airs on The CW this fall.

Kai – This character is going to be a bit of an oddball within the world of this show. He’s very charming, but there is something off about him that is hard to place. Maybe it has something to do with him keeping a front of normalcy, even in the event that the rest of the world is crumbling around him. According to TV Guide, this role will be played by Chris Wood of “The Carrie Diaries” fame.

Liam – This seems to be the common good-looking guy name on these shows. Liam is a student at Whitmore College, and is brimming with confidence. He also comes froma  great family of doctors, and is one of the more well-connected people out there. Per TheWrap, he will be a part of the season 6 premiere and be played by Marco James.

Hot Rod Guy – There’s no real name for this character; he just runs a hot rod shop for wealthy people! “Rectify” actor Jayson Warner Smith will take on this part.

There are most likely going to be many more roles and guest actors announced prior to the premiere October 2, so we will fill you in more and more with some of these names as we get closer to the launch of the show.
