‘Teen Wolf’ season 4, episode 4 preview: Is Stiles Malia’s anchor?

Tomorrow night, MTV will air a pretty far-reaching episode of “Teen Wolf” entitled “The Benefactor” that carries with it quite a few priorities. One of them is going to be the potential introduction of the new villain that has been a little amorphous so far this season. In addition to that, there’s also the issue of further establishing some character relationships.

So how are things right now when it comes to Stiles and Malia? We feel like we would definitely categorize this one in the category of “so far, so good.” As a matter of fact, they may be better than ever after the events of this sneak peek below. In it, Stiles really makes his best effort in order to be a proper anchor for Malia, who is in the process of going through a transformation into a coyote.

We’ve got to give him some credit here, too, for having some serious guts in sticking around through this. It’s not like Malia is saying a bunch of things to him here that are altogether nice. She is threatening to basically tear him apart limb from limb, and while she may not mean it and be somewhat entranced in that moment, this does still show some guts on his part that he may not have had a couple of seasons ago.

In the end, though, it’s still too early to tell whether or not these two are endgame, especially since there are so many Stiles / Lydia shippers out there. If nothing else, the producers are really working to set her up as a viable long-term option for him.
