‘Teen Wolf’ season 4, episode 4 preview: ‘Who is the Benefactor?’ takes center stage

On tonight’s “Teen Wolf” episode, we saw what can be best described as a little bit of everything. There was comedy, drama, and also further proof that if you are a new character on this show, you’re somewhat screwed. There were also a few nice moments in here where Stiles started to teach Malia a little bit about math … at least if this is the relationship you actively ship.

Next week’s episode is most likely going to tone down on some of the humor, at least if the title “The Benefactor” is any indication. This has been teased as the big bad of the season more or less, and so far their intentions have been shrouded in mystery. Unfortunately, we don’t feel like the short synopsis below from MTV will help you out that much:

“On the night of the full moon, uninvited guests turn up at Lydia’s lake house; Derek pursues a killer.”

This will hopefully be a pretty excellent hour of TV, and one that works hard to actually answer some of the questions we have rather than create new ones. So far this season, that has been the one thing that “Teen Wolf” has really struggled with. There are so many different thing going on, but not anything that we would say qualifies as a decent answer to any of them. At least we know that there is potential, and with a shorter season this time around, the pressure is on Jeff Davis and the writers to really deliver on something brilliant in a short amount of time.
