‘True Blood’ season 7 spoilers: Sam Trammell narrates promo; still no Alexander Skarsgard
For many, the sad news when it comes to HBO next week is that there is not going to be a new episode of “Game of Thrones” to enjoy. Luckily, we feel like there’s a pretty good replacement for some: The final season of “True Blood.”
The promo below is narrated by Sam Trammell (Sam Merlotte), and while short, it reveals just about everything that “True Blood” is within the span of it. There is violence, people having their clothes ripped off, more action, suspense, and great characters. For those of you on Eric Northman watch, though, there is no sighting of Alexander Skarsgard in here. We would hope you would take some of our recent reports on this subject, though, as a good sign that Eric still is going to have a heck of an awesome arc ahead.
With there being only ten episodes left, that allows for an opportunity to wrap up the show with as many contained storylines as possible. That hopefully means that there will be much more focus than in years past, which is one of the biggest critiques that we have had. Especially when we are talking about Sam, there are so many times when it feels like his character is just left to flutter off in the wind somewhere with a person or two who are not that integral to the rest of the tale.
We expect there to be more big characters that die, just as we expect there to be a few more twists we don’t see coming. In the end, though, what we are really hoping for is some sort of conclusion that makes sense … even if not everyone is happy with it.
