NBC 2014 Fall Schedule: ‘The Blacklist’ season 2, ‘Chicago Fire’ season 3 premiere dates

NBC debuted their fall schedule for the first time today, and for the most part, it is the same sort of standard fare that you would expect. Even some of the shows that are starting a little bit late are going to be doing so for expected reasons (as Fridays typically start late so that there are more viewers home for them).

Remember when looking at this that “The Blacklist” will be leaving its Monday night most starting in early November, and after its Super Bowl episode, will be shifting to Thursdays for the rest of the season.

Tuesday, September 23

Wednesday, September 24

• 8:00-9:00 – “The Mysteries of Laura” (new series)
• 9:00-10:00 – “Law & Order: SVU”
• 10:00-11:00 – “Chicago PD”

Thursday, September 25

• 10:00-11:00 – “Parenthood”

Thursday, October 2

• 8:00-9:00 – “The Biggest Loser”
• 9:00-9:30 – “Bad Judge”
• 9:30-10:00 – “A to Z”

Tuesday, October 14

• 8:00-9:00 – “The Voice”
• 9:00-9:30 – “Marry Me”
• 9:30-10:00 – “About a Boy”

Friday, October 24

• 9:00-10:00 – “Grimm”
• 10:00-11:00 – “Constantine”

We suppose that there may be some out there who are reasonably stunned by NBC holding off until October to launch many of their comedies, but it doesn’t necessarily startle us much. This is a network that has seen many comedies fail, and it may feel better to have them all premiere at a time when more people are home, and where they can run without as many interruptions or repeats during the season.
