‘Britain’s Got Talent’: Paddy & Nico return to the competition after leaving
Going in Saturday’s “Britain’s Got Talent” semifinal show, one of the biggest questions was who was going to replace dancing duo Paddy & Nico in the lineup after the 79-year old Paddy suffered an injury in rehearsals. Who in the world assumed that the person who would end up replacing them would be the original act themselves?
At the start of the show, it was revealed that Paddy had been given the OK by doctors to come back on the show and perform, and she would be given an opportunity to perform. This was the ultimate comeback story, and that in itself could get a ton of votes. They were a fan favorite going into this stage in the competition, and she also was given the golden buzzer by Amanda Holden during the audition phase.
When the two came out and perform, there were no obvious signs that an injury was bothering Paddy at all. The only thing that was a little off were some of the moves, and that may be as a mere result of not getting the same amount of time to rehearse as what they usually have before a show.
The only thing that may slow these two parties down on the night is strictly that there is so much competition across the board. There is another dance group in Kings & Queens who also came out and did this same sort of act with a few little twists here and there.
