‘The Fosters’ season 2 spoilers: First details on June 16 premiere

June is turning out to be quite a big month for ABC Family; not only do you have one of the network’s landmark series in “Pretty Little Liars” returning, but season 2 of “The Fosters” is also coming back on Monday, June 16. The first season of the show peeled back some layers on a family, and hopefully the second one will makes things both even more complicated and interesting.

The title for the show’s premiere episode is “Things Unknown,” and the entire episode in some ways hinges on whether or not Callie will remain with the family after a key revelation when it comes to her birth father. There are some other relationship issues that will play out throughout the episode, but we see some of those as second billing for the time being.

“It’s a big day for Callie as her future with the Fosters hinges on the revelation that Donald is not her birth father. What happens next could threaten to separate Callie and Jude once again. Brandon struggles to recover and come to terms with his guilt over sleeping with Dani, and big questions still remain about what Mike was up to the night Ana disappeared. Meanwhile, Jesus and Emma’s relationship impacts Emma’s standing with her teammates, which causes tension between them. Mariana has made a big change, much to Stef’s dismay.”

As for what else we could expect to see from this story long-term, we know that we will eventually meet Callie’s biological dad. We’ll have some more on that subject soon, so stay tuned!
