‘Arrow’ season 3 spoilers: Stephen Amell on that big ‘Olicity’ moment, the future
If you are a big “Arrow” fan, then there were moments during the finale that got you really excited. If you love seeing villains get what is coming to them, then you probably celebrated the fate of Slade Wilson. Meanwhile, if you were an Olicity fan, the you were probably both delighted and traumatized by the stunt that happened here to trick Slade into going after Felicity.
We posted yesterday the response of Emily Bett Rickards to the big twist, but how about we look at things now from the Oliver point of view? Speaking to E! News, he explained that his character probably saw this more as business than something deliberately designed to play with Felicity’s feelings for him:
“I don’t know that it was all a ruse. I think that they got done what they needed to get done … And I think that some of the things he said earlier in the season stayed true.”
What he said earlier in the season of course was that he couldn’t be with someone that he truly cared about … which, if true, means that Sara Lance was probably justified in breaking up with him and then going to be with the League of Assassins at the end of the finale.
Amell confessed that he is really just now starting to think about the new season after being in hiatus mode for a while, but he expects the passion from the fans to only continue:
“The gap between season 1 and season 2 in terms of fan response was incredible, and I imagine that [will continue] for season 3.”
OF COURSE, we will be continuing our own constant writing about the show all summer, both for information purposes and also because we cannot help ourselves. If you want to get some further updates via email, we suggest that you just sign up today for our official newsletter.
