‘Hart of Dixie’ season 4 spoilers: Scott Porter hints at wait for George, Zoe, Wade payoff

The writers of “Hart of Dixie” are apparently very bold. We wondered if the team, not knowing their own future at the time they wrote the season 3 finale, would just put in motion an end that could serve as a series-ender. However, they’ve went in a different direction and decided instead here to give us something that will set the stage more for season 4 than tie up any loose ends.

Regardless of what character you like, the comments below from Scott Porter’s TVLine interview certainly suggest that you are going to be left on a lurch … which probably won’t make many Zoe / Wade fans happy, given that they were stuck waiting for most of this season to see whether or not Zoe was ever going to get back with him:

“You can expect a huge cliffhanger for George. The same with Zoe and Wade and Lavon. We’ve been hurtling towards a number of things in the last third of the season, which will definitely pay off. We’re thrilled to be heading into Season 4, because everything we’ve put in motion will really pay off next season. It’s going to be a season finale to remember. And that’s just in the last five minutes. Getting there is a whole adventure of shenanigans in a typical Blue Bell, Alabama, fashion.”

When it comes to Porter’s George, he gives a very honest answer in saying that the decision to only briefly explore his feelings for Zoe recently came out of a realization that next season could be the end. Had the show felt like they may have a few more seasons in it thanks to the ratings, this is something that they probably would have explored further.
