‘Sons of Anarchy’ season 7: Katey Sagal, Kurt Sutter to appear on ‘The Writers Room’
Do you love great TV, and have a passion for hearing about the process of making it? Then you really should check out Sundance’s “The Writers Room.” It’s a fun, intelligent slice of late-night hosted by Jim Rash (an Academy Award winner, or also Dean Pelton on “Community“), and they’ve done some pretty interesting episodes so far. They recently did episodes on “Scandal” and “House of Cards,” and on Monday night at 11:00 p.m. Eastern, the show being profiled is none other than “Sons of Anarchy.”
So while you wait for season 7 to start, this is a great chance to see creator Kurt Sutter and star Katey Sagal sit down with Rash to discuss some elements of the show. The preview below specifically focuses on the Gemma character, and there is a question in here as to whether or not Katey brings any of the character home with her. (In case you are completely new to the SOA universe, Kurt and Katey are married.) In the end, laughs are had by all.
We’ll be checking out this full episode when it airs, and while we don’t expect it to be a trove of spoilers on the upcoming seventh and final season, it should still be on your DVR if you have the channel. (Or, be one of the cool kids and watch live!) There’s also an episode coming up a week from Monday on “The Good Wife,” which fascinates us mostly because they are able to churn out 22 quality episodes a year. That’s almost unheard of these days with the bar for good TV being set so high.
As for “Sons of Anarchy,” we’ll of course have more scoop when it comes out. For now, click here to go back and watch some clips from Sutter on “Larry King Now,” or here to get further TV updates via our CarterMatt Newsletter.
