‘Glee’ season 5, episode 20 (finale) spoilers: Heather Morris’ Brittany, Darren Criss’ Blaine, and WHAT?
So where does the story go from here on “Glee“? Next week, the show is going to be back with a pretty huge episode in “The Untitled Rachel Berry Project,” which is a notable name for many reasons. It may be representative of her development deal at Fox, and it also suggests that her career may be making a great leap forward.
As the synopsis below teases, Rachel could be getting close to developing an actual project for TV with the help of someone big. Also, Sam gets a major step forward in his career, and Blaine has a moment in the spotlight as Shirley MacLaine returns for more:
“In the Season Five finale, Rachel meets a famous television writer (guest star Kristen Schaal), whose eccentric personality catches Rachel off guard. Meanwhile, Sam and Mercedes deal with the pressure of commitment as their careers take off, and the time has finally come for Blaine’s big showcase with June Dolloway (guest star Shirley MacLaine) at NYADA.”
While all of this material suggests that Rachel will be front and center (and she is the photo attached to this article), there is something else about the promo below that completely shocks us: Seeing what in the world was going on with Brittany and Blaine. Both of them are gay or, in the case of Brittany, bisexual. So why hook up? Maybe it’s not what it seems, but we see the internet freaking out about this.
One other thing to remember here is that Naya Rivera is reportedly not in this episode, and she has not been seen in any of the material.
