‘The Big Bang Theory’ season 7, episode 23 preview: Kaley Cuoco gets her gorilla on
The whole storyline of Penny having to play a part in this gorilla movie on “The Big Bang Theory” is in some ways hysterical, and in some other ways completely odd. We are often at odds trying to figure out which it is. Maybe Thursday’s episode, appropriately titled “The Gorilla Dissolution,” will offer up some clarity.
You are going to see more of Kaley Cuoco-Sweeting’s character at this job than ever before, and that includes more elaborate ape costumes! It also potentially means more of Wil Wheaton, given that he has also signed on to be a part of this project. This entire story is a test of what Penny is willing to go through for her career, and also whether or not this is really the right way to go about it.
Are there some other stories beyond Penny in this episode? Sure! After all, you have Raj and Sheldon at the movies, and the two are going to spend a good bit of time together as Raj turns to Jim Parsons’ character for a relationship advice … which is an even worse idea than a movie about a woman slowly becoming a gorilla. We’re happy to see a story that focuses mostly on these two characters together (it doesn’t happen that often), but we cannot imagine it ended very well and with sunshine and roses.
This episode is the final one before the finale, which based on what we’ve read already, may be one of the most surprising hours put together to date. There are many surprises in store, and we just have to figure out what those are.
