‘NCIS’ season 11 spoilers: Michael Weatherly, Pauley Perrette, more have new deals

More news -For those of you wondering whether or not there would be another extended contract debate this summer when it comes to “NCIS,” you can breathe a little bit easier now. According to TVLine, Michael Weatherly is set to sign a new deal that will lock him in for both seasons 12 and 13 of the long-running CBS drama, and the likes of Pauley Perrette, Sean Murray, Rocky Carroll, and David McCallum are all officially on board already.

Effectively, this means that every cast member is poised to come back on the show for another year, unless there are some other issues that come up unrelated to contracts. Mark Harmon, Emily Wickersham, and Brian Dietzen already have contracts that have them all on board the show beyond this season, so there is no reason to worry about the future for any of them.

All of this does eventually lead to what is a very interesting question, and that is how long this show can really last. While it remains one of the most-watched shows on TV, the numbers in the 18-49 demo have dropped over the course of the season. Also, the cast does command a pretty penny, which they should after being on the show and working these hours for so long. For now, we’re going to continue to hold the believe that “NCIS” lasts however long Harmon wants it to. He is the face of the show, and while we could see other spin-offs happening with some other characters, we could not see the show called “NCIS” without him on it. This is at least just our take on it.
