‘Game of Thrones’ season 4, episode 5 preview: New Emilia Clarke, Sophie Turner photos
Sunday’s “Game of Thrones” episode “First of His Name” is in many ways going to revolve around opportunity. For Tyrion Lannister, for example, it is an opportunity to plot his next move in pleading his case regarding the death of Joffrey. Meanwhile, Brienne has an opportunity to begin her journey with Pod, Jon Snow as a chance to become a better leader, and Tommen will start to learn what sort of king he wants to be. (Granted, it’s not a given that all these people will appear in this episode.)
For Danaerys, one opportunity that she really must be looking forward to is the opportunity to finally get into a different outfit that is not those blue garments she has worn for the past season and a half. She’s sporting a new look in the photo above! This does reflect her new status in Meereen, and a change in her story. This is one of the first times since season 2 that she has really stopped in one place for any stretch of time, and will use the city at least for now to start to plot what her next move will be in taking back the Iron Throne.
Away from Emilia Clarke’s character, Sansa (Sophie Turner) is also sporting a somewhat-different look as she continues her own journey towards the Eyrie with Littlefinger. While Dany’s new outfit is much more based out of status, Sansa is dressed more in the traditional “I’m a Stark so don’t notice me” outfit. The last thing Littlefinger wants to do is lose his leverage that comes with having one of the few surviving members of the family. Bran and Arya have been presumed dead by many, and the majority of people forget that Rickon is even still out there in the first place.
