ABC’s ‘Castle’ season 6 spoilers: Stana Katic, Nathan Fillion’s modern ‘That 70’s Show’ story

At this point, you have probably seen a multitude of stories geared towards getting you excited about Monday night’s “That 70’s Show” episode of “Castle“… at least when it comes to the costumes. All of that is awesome, but we understand if there is a question you still have: How in the world is any of this going to be relevant to the present day? The idea of dressing up for a delusional witness is interesting and may be a great time, but it doesn’t answer the question as to how we’re supposed to get closer to the big Castle – Beckett wedding. We are just a matter of episodes from when it is supposed to take place!

Well, we may now have a little more scoop in that department. According to a report from Screen Spy, there will be some progress in the wedding when Nathan Fillion and Stana Katic’s characters give Castle’s mom Martha the task of designing some of the flower arrangements. Why? It’s the old trick known as “give the mother of the groom something to do.”

Could this blow up in the two characters’ faces? It’s very well possible, since Martha loves to go over the top with things. If nothing else, it’s probably safe to now consider it to be some fun to go along with all of the other fun stuff that we expect to see unfold during this episode. While it may not answer any key questions or introduce a big bad, we’ll gladly take any episode that at least does something to differentiate itself from the murder-mystery rut of “do close to the same thing every week, and be afraid to shake things up since it will mess with syndication.”
