‘Law & Order: SVU’ season 15 spoilers: The impact of Donal Logue’s return
Who doesn’t love a good surprise when it comes to “Law & Order: SVU”? Seeing Donal Logue’s return as Murphy certainly qualifies as one, and the fact that he is now in charge of leading the unit is only going to amplify things. The drama surrounding this new gig, as a matter of fact, may be enough to make this current hiatus a little more palatable.
If you do want to get some more direct scoop as to how his arrival on the show is going to shape things, especially when it comes to his past with Rollins and Amaro, just take a look at what executive producer Warren Leight told TV Guide:
“Olivia cannot trust [Amanda] at all, and now this guy [is] in charge of the unit and he’s the one person in the world who trusts Amanda … [Also], Nick came up to him and sucker-punched him on the street. [It’s] not ideal that Murphy is now his boss.”
So to say the least, the final few episodes of the season are going to be awkward for at least a few characters. Logue is going to least make an impact the rest of the season, and where he goes from there is to be seen. There’s no doubting that at this point, he is a rather busy man. Just look at what he’s been up to in between “Sons of Anarchy” and “Vikings” things days. It’s a big get for the show, and it makes things all the crazier the rest of the way.
