‘Grey’s Anatomy’ season 10 spoilers: More Amelia, and a Taylor Swift title?
Just in case you were wondering why exactly Caterina Scorsone was coming on board “Grey’s Anatomy” for a multiple-episode arc, we now have a little more information on that. Not only that, but we have also learned that creator Shonda Rhimes has to at least be a moderate Taylor Swift fan.
The upcoming 22nd episode of the season is entitled “We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together,” which is probably going to make us sing that song to ourselves (not that we’d ever admit it … oops) the entire time that it is on the air. It’s almost the second featuring the former “Private Practice” star, and this is around the time that Isaiah Washington could be showing up again as Burke (but his appearance in this particular hour is not confirmed).
For now, let’s just share the official synopsis via SpoilerTV, which does give you a strong inkling that the show is doing what it can to tie together the story of Cristina Yang:
“Cristina considers her future at the hospital; Amelia and Derek collaborate on a tough surgery involving conjoined twins; Jo takes on too many cases at once; Stephanie stumbles on the truth about Bailey’s case.”
Most of the details here don’t really mean that much yet, mostly because the Jo story in theory feels like something that Shane already went through, and we’re too far removed from what’s happening with Stephanie and Bailey. On the flip side, Cristina’s exit has been building for some time, and we’re pleased to see that Rhimes is making sure that Sandra Oh leaving the show is not sprung on casual viewers at the last second while they are left to pick up the pieces. She will have a worthy send-off, and we can already tell you definitively that she’s not going to be killed off.
