‘American Idol XIII’ results: Was Sam Woolf, C.J. Harris, or Majesty Rose eliminated?
For the first time in quite a few years, the “American Idol XIII” results show tonight was of the short variety. It only lasted for 30 minutes, and we couldn’t be happier about that. Was there really ever a reason for this to last an hour? It was quick, it was fun, and it got us moving on with our night.
As the votes were starting to be revealed over the course of the night, it was starting to become more and more clear that there is a pretty distinct top and bottom half when it comes to the voting. Jessica Meuse, Jena Irene, Caleb Johnson, and Alex Preston seem to be the obvious top four when it comes to America’s voting right now. Jena is the only one to ever been in danger, and that was weeks ago before she started to really rise to the occasion as a favorite.
Meanwhile, the likes of Dexter Roberts, Majesty Rose, C.J. Harris, and Sam Woolf are all the ones perpetually in danger of going home. All of them have had moments, but they’ve been very inconsistent and that hurts their audience.
When the dust settled on this episode, we did end up seeing the end of Majesty’s journey on the show, and to be perfectly honest, we feel like the judges not saving her was the right move. Her performance of “Happy” just was not enough; had she picked a different song that showed off more of her vocals, she could have had a little bit more of a shot at survival. But, we are bummed that she went home over Dexter “karaoke” Roberts. Grade: B-.
