‘Two and a Half Men’ season 11: Does Angus T. Jones regret anything?
Jones has mostly stayed away from the spotlight since leaving the show, but in a rare new interview, you actually get a little bit more of rare insight into just what the actor had on his mind then, and then has on his mind now. Speaking to Houston station KHOU, which is not far from where he is doing some church work, he said that him continuing to take money from a show he didn’t believe in was one of the reasons to walk away:
“[It] was difficult for me to be on the show and be part of something that was making light of topics in our world where there are really problems for a lot of people. I was a paid hypocrite because I wasn’t OK with it and I was still doing it.”
Jones said that he was slightly “apologetic” that he insulted something that was creator Chuck Lorre’s “baby,” but doesn’t otherwise regret his remarks. We certainly have no issue whatsoever with Jones continuing to express his religious beliefs however he wants, but we do wonder a little bit if he needed to actually take such drastic measures. There is not necessarily anything wrong with making light of topics in the world; plus, you can use that salary to actually do a lot of good, since you are basically getting millions of dollars a year.
