‘The Vampire Diaries’ season 5 spoilers: Raffi Barsoumian to play mysterious Markos

“The Vampire Diaries” is letting a little bit more of their season 5 casting news hit the internet now … but we have a feeling that this one is going to leave you wanting a little bit more than what is being offered up.

According to a report from Deadline, actor Raffi Barsoumian, who has appeared in a 2011 installment of “NCIS,” is set to recur on the show moving forward in the role of Markos. We know that he will appear in the 17th episode of the show, and more potentially after that.

Want to know a little bit more than that? You’re not alone. What we can tell you about the character (at least for now) is that this is a guy who will have some ties to the supernatural world, and also more charisma than what most people would know what to do with.

There are some pretty great stories coming up for the show, as we start to slowly and surely get to know a little bit more about the Travelers, and about how some of the characters are going to respond to these bizarre new additions to the world. Also, we have to figure out just what in the world is going on when it comes to Damon, who has been surrounding himself with danger and other horrible stuff lately.

After a long wait, “The Vampire Diaries” will return with new episodes on Thursday night, and you’ll then get a few more opportunities to see what the rest of the season is going to be.
