‘Glee’ season 5 song spoilers: Hear Chris Colfer, Adam Lambert do The Darkness
It’s been a long time since we have been able to preview almost any “Glee” music, but we are here for the purpose of doing exactly that tonight with a cover of The Darkness’ “I Believe in a Thing Called Love,” performed by a pair of actors who have the sort of voice to pull off the challenging song: Adam Lambert (Starchild) and Chris Colfer (Kurt).
Let’s put it this way: This performance is just about everything that you were hoping for ahead of time. It is fast-paced, electric, and above all entertaining. Adam and Chris both have a great musical range, and they bounce off of each other vocally very well from start to finish.
All in all, this is just a great time, and something that we certainly look forward to actually seeing rather than hearing. As a previous sneak peek from this episode showed, this performance from the Kurt and Starchild characters will come as they are visiting a guitar store, and Kurt is attempting to go through with his latest strategy of trying to keep his “enemies” close. He has a sense of constant jealousy about him, and worries that Starchild could someday end up taking away his band from him. We don’t know why in the world Kurt is as paranoid about this as he is, but sometimes, this sort of over-thinking and jealousy cannot be contained. It doesn’t really even make Kurt a bad person; it just makes him insecure, and therefore very human.

I love “Kurt”, but vocally Adam blows him away. Would love to see a more equally talented duet, between Adam & Darren Criss, that would be amazing

Can’t wait! R U Kidding? I’ve been waiting for a Chris/Adam duet or just Adam since Adam joined Glee. Love Chris, Love Adam & love them together.

Well, what can I say but I LOVED it!! Adam can pretty much do ANY genre of music and nail it, and this ROCK song is definitely right up his alley. He and Chris were truly amazing together vocally, and have now simply and absolutely claimed IBIATCL as their own.. Kudo’s to both! And now, just counting down to the episode on Tues. where we can SEE them perform!

Love this interpretation, more suited to the story line of a budding “friendship”. Adam proves once again that he challenges the people he works with to up their game, as Chris obviously holds up his end of this duet.
