‘Girls’ season 3, episode 8 preview: More Marnie / Ray, Hannah with money
When “Girls” returns to HBO next week, we are going to see the Hannah character in at least one position that we have not seen her in before. Namely, we’re going to see her actually with some sort of money at her disposal thanks her new job.
One of the stories taking place in this episode will be her going on some sort of “shopping spree,” which for her may not mean just buying a few outfits when she realizes just how much these clothes she is looking at actually cost. This is still something very new for the character, and therefore something we are rather excited to see.
As for the rest of the episode, get ready for the return of Ray! After a one-episode break, we will have yet another reminder that Marnie really does not have that much of an interest at all in being with him; instead, she’s just seemingly with him out of loneliness and desperation. We know that they will almost surely not end up together, but we’re enjoying this little fling for what it is.
Meanwhile, Jessa is also going through another bout of craziness that really makes everyone wonder if she should’ve left in rehab in the first place. We really have to be honest here, though: This is not a story that we are that excited for, mostly because nothing that Jessa does ever makes any sense and sometimes we wonder if they have any real idea of where they eventually want her character to end up.
