‘Once Upon a Time’ season 3 spoilers: Do the deaths in Storybrooke now matter?

What's next? -Have you been confused about some of rules regarding “Once Upon a Time’s” transfer out of Storybrooke? If you answer that question with a “yes,” we certainly understand. The rules have been a little murky.

Let’s start with what is very clear: Emma is stuck in the real world, and has no recollection as to what happened to her or who she was before the past year. Meanwhile, the characters all seem to remember her, based on the fact that Captain Hook is able to find her out and tell her that there are some in need of her help.

Now, we return to another key question: Do people who died in Storybrooke come back to life now? While that could mean an easy out for Rumpelstiltskin or an opportunity to see Sheriff Graham again, it is not so. Co-creator Adam Horowitz confirms as such in a TV Guide interview:

“Everything that happened in those three years actually happened. It’s not that anything was undone. All the events of the time in Storybrooke are real and occurred and affected the characters. The only difference is that Emma doesn’t have memories of it.”

Also, Horowitz and fellow creator Edward Kitsis confirm that there will be no physical return to Neverland this season, that we will see Oz at some point, and that they would love to use the characters from the movie “Frozen” in the show someday. Given just how enormously popular that film has become, we’re sure that they would.
