MTV’s ‘Awkward’ season 4 spoilers: Who is heading off to college?

If there has been something that has been true on “Awkward” almost since the beginning of the series, it is that we have, time and time again, seen Jenna Hamilton’s mother try to live vicariously through her daughter. This means at times trying to get involved with gossip, be her friend, or even show up as the “school nurse” and try to get a ton of attention from the boys.

So now that we are getting closer and closer to “graduation day,” it seems to be that Jenna is not the only person that is thinking about a future in school. Speaking to TV Guide, actress Nikki Deloach teases that we are going to see Jenna’s mom Lacey sign up for classes for the first time, since she originally used her college money years ago on implants.

Just as you would expect, though, Lacey is not going to be the ideal student; instead, she is going to spend much more of her time hitting on college boys and trying to fit in with the in crowd.

What we are ultimately perhaps the most interested in, though, is just what is going to happen when it comes to graduation and the future of the series. Can you really keep the gang together after this season? We don’t really feel like it is that possible, thanks mostly to the fact that you would realistically have people going to a variety of different schools, and seeing their futures go in different directions. But, at the end of the day, who knows? There could be all sorts of paths that these various characters are sent down, and it’s possible that they could still come together.
