‘Real Housewives of Beverly Hills’ preview: Lisa Vanderpump, Yolanda Foster play defense

“The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills” may as well just be retitled the “Brandi Glanville Defense Tour,” since that is what almost everyone seems to be doing on this show right now. They are all spending countless hours talking about Brandi, and of that time, a good bit of it is also spent in full-on defense mode of her antics this season. As for why they feel so compelled to stand up for her, that is a very good question.

In the sneak peek below, both Lisa Vanderpump and Yolanda Foster both seem to pledge their unflinching loyalty to Brandi, saying that while they don’t agree with everything that she has said over time about Joyce Giraud, they still think that she is a good, loyal person and she has shown this loyalty to them a number of times already.

As for the perspective of Joyce … not so much. She has plenty good reason to think that Brandi is not the greatest person in the world, mostly because she has shown a few times that she has not interest in being nice to Joyce. This may not be an indictment on her relationships with other people, but we’ve got a few pieces of evidence at this point that show that she has a tendency to be rather mean to Joyce and it has over all made this a very negative season of the show to watch.

Hopefully, this episode will mark the end of the whole ordeal. It hasn’t really been very entertaining to watch this season, mostly because it feels like this sort of attitude is one that really should be coming to a conclusion when people are leaving their teenaged years and moving into becoming an adult. The major issue here is that in the real world, you just get away from people who are saying this sort of stuff to you. It’s just harder to do that on a reality TV show, where you are contractually obligated to be around them a lot.
