‘Once Upon a Time’ season 3 spoilers: What will we learn soon about Henry?

While we know now who Henry’s biological parents are on “Once Upon a Time,” there is still one other question that we are waiting to get an answer to: How did the kid end up in Storybrooke? He was not someone who originally was in the town, nor was he someone who was born anywhere near it. The last time we saw Emma Swan or learned that she was pregnant in the past, she was in a completely different part of the country.

Luckily, some of these answers are coming courtesy of “Save Henry,” the ninth episode of the season airing next week. This will help to put a pin in some of the Neverland storylines, and also establish some of what the show plans to do moving into the second of the year (at least hopefully).

ABC just released the full synopsis for this episode, and this is how we know for sure that Regina’s adoption of Henry is going to be a hot item:

“While Henry’s life hangs in the balance, the race is on to stop Pan from gaining full magical powers from the heart of the truest believer. Meanwhile, in Storybrooke of the past, Regina decides to fill a void in her life and, with Mr. Gold’s help, sets out to adopt a baby.”

We assume that it was the help of Gold that presumably caused her to find a child that had some sort of tie to Charming and Snow White, and had she been a better mother at times to Henry, this could have been perfect for her. Thanks to her raising the child through the first few years of her life, he could have loved her and resented his real parents for not being there for him. However, it didn’t quite work out that way at all. Instead, he has ill will towards Regina, and loves the very people in Emma who once abandoned him … at least in black-and-white terms.

At the moment, it really doesn’t even matter, given that Henry is in big trouble. He’s given his heart physically to Peter Pan, and now the others have to find a way to stop him before they are stuck under his reign of terror forever.
