‘The X Factor’ UK results: Was Tamera Foster, Sam Callahan, or Kingsland Road eliminated?

The latest news -

The flash vote on “The X Factor” UK came to a close last week, which meant that for Sunday’s result show, the intensity was really at a new level. Who would be put in danger, and who would be given a green light to the next round?

If we were to put on our own personal judging cap after last night’s show, then we would put Tamera Foster and Sam Callahan in danger, with the latter being the one sent home in the end. Sam has just been inconsistent for far too many weeks, and Tamera has a combination of a couple of sleepy performances and an attitude that does not exactly inspire a ton of people hitting the voting lines.

But you have to remember that in the end, the majority of voters for the show are probably 16-year old girls. How else do you explain the fact that none of Louis Walsh’s boys have been in the bottom two all season? Sam really deserved it tonight, but he was actually the first act declared safe!

Instead, we had Tamera (still considered a shock elimination by most) along with Kingsland Road, who has been in this position before. We actually think they’re a good band, but they really haven’t shown enough of what sort of band they want to be. Let’s get to their performances.

Kingsland Road, “I Won’t Let You Go” – A really moving performance from the guys, who showed some harmonies and what they could actually do with a song that is current. We wish these guys had done this rather than something more dated. A great performance, and our favorite of the show.

Tamera Foster, “I Have Nothing” – We almost want to boot her for doing the same song that everyone does. Just no originality here, and we don’t think Tamera is ready for stardom just yet. Vocally, though, there is little question that she probably won this.

This was the first time where there could be a deadlock this season, and we thought it could happen this time. The only way that we thought Kingsland Road really had a chance to survive was if they got a vote from Sharon Osbourne, since Louis likes to use all of his favorite buzz words when it comes to Tamera. But that didn’t happen, and we have lost one of our favorites from this season. Such good guys, and we think that they still have a future ahead for them that they couldn’t quite show here.

Do you think that the Kingsland Road was the right people to send home on “The X Factor” UK this week? Click here if you want to read our full review of the performance show from Saturday, and we will have some more reaction to the exit soon.
