‘Criminal Minds’ season 9, episode 7 preview: First look at ‘Gatekeeper,’ different sort of story
On “Criminal Minds” next week, there is going to be a case just as frightening as this one. The twist? This one is not Halloween-related; it’s just scary for the sake of being scary, as we have a man who seems to be enjoy strangling young women. The promo below for the episode really does not let you know anything about this episode, save for the actual crime itself.
If you want to read a little bit more, just take a look at the full synopsis below:
“After a series of strangulations in Boston, the BAU looks for an UnSub who likes to keep mementos of the victims, and the team wonders if a common link to the casualties could lead them to the culprit. Meanwhile, the BAU rallies around Rossi when his favorite bar is on the verge of closing.”
We’re somewhat bummed that there is no footage in the promo when it comes to the bar story, mostly because it is such an interesting, different sort of story than anything that we have seen on the show so far this season. We’ve enjoyed these little character storylines this season, in between this and also what we saw during tonight’s episode when it comes to the Day of the Dead Celebration that we saw Garcia put on. These are becoming some of the best parts of the show, especially when you consider that focusing on the main stories alone can have a numbing effect. Once you’ve seen a few of them, then you know the format.
Considering that this is the start of the November sweeps, though, you can expect some other major storylines coming up that could not only last weeks, but also have major implications for the characters.
