‘Switched at Birth’ season 3, ‘Pretty Little Liars’ season 4B land official premiere dates
One day before “Pretty Little Liars” is set to debut its annual Halloween special, we now know some more news on the future of the show, specifically when we are going to see it back on ABC Family early next year. Will the premiere keep you waiting for very long? Not in comparison to the amount of waiting there is between seasons of other shows.
In a statement today, the network confirmed that Tuesday, January 7 is going to be the start of season 4B, which is less than three months after the Halloween special. It is also coming on a day after the return of another fan favorite in “The Bachelor” over on ABC proper. (Translation: This is going to be quite a big week for the network!) This is ABC Family’s highest-rated show, and based on the revelation recently that (spoiler alert!) Ezra is at least on the “A Team,” if not more, the interest in the show may be higher than it ever was before (if that is even possible).
As for some other notable dates…
1. “Switched at Birth” season 3 is going to launch on Monday, January 13 at 8:00 p.m. Eastern, and this follows a lengthy marathon. This will be followed by season 1B of “The Fosters,” another popular show for the network this summer.
2. “Twisted” is also going to return on January 7, where “Pretty Little Liars” will serve as the lead-in. What about “Ravenswood”? The idea for this show is for it to use the fall to gauge its own audience, and see if people will continue to watch “Pretty Little Liars” while also checking out this show.
The big question for us is that we have to try to figure out whether or not “The Fosters” and “Twisted” can survive in months where children are in school. This is the time of year where the brilliant-but-canceled “Bunheads” started to really fall apart this past year, and who knows just what will transpire this time around?
