‘Criminal Minds’ season 9, episode 3 preview: First look at ‘Final Shot,’ Kennedy-themed hour
While the first two episodes of “Criminal Minds” season 9 had a certain level of appeal to them, we must admit that “Final Shot” was the one that we were really looking forward to. As an American history buff, seeing an episode that involved this story in some way was intriguing to us, especially when it is around the time of the 50th anniversary of John F. Kennedy’s assassination (even though this hour is technically airing a little bit early).
Before you do anything else, just take a generic sort of look at this episode courtesy of the official synopsis via CBS:
“When a sniper strikes Dallas, the BAU investigates whether the upcoming anniversary of the Kennedy assassination is a motivating factor or if something else is driving the UnSub.”
Meanwhile, Eva LaRue of “CSI: Miami” fame is going to be guest-starring here, where she will play the part of an FBI agent that ends up lending a helping hand to the investigation. For those of you who appreciate CBS family reunions, this news has to be very much appreciated. But will this episode be great from an entertainment perspective, or is this more or less exploitation of something that happened for a little while? That is something that you will probably be debating until at least the episode airs, much in the way that you do some of those “ripped from the headlines” stories that always get so much press. If nothing else, this case looks exciting based on the promo below, and puts many into the line of fire.
