‘Britain’s Got Talent’ alum Susan Boyle’s movie role and a surprising connection
From “Britain’s Got Talent” to music to stage … and now to cinema. Susan Boyle is clearly the biggest star to ever come out of the “Talent” franchise anywhere around the globe (though Terry Fator here in America is also enormously wealthy), and she has now found yet another way to have her talent shown off.
Sources confirm that Boyle is going to be appearing in the upcoming movie “The Christmas Candle,” which is something that we actually first told you about earlier this year. What is somewhat new to the story, at least for us and some others, is the involvement of former GOP Presidential candidate Rick Santorum. This is his first project since taking over as the CEO of EchoLight Studios, and he had the following to say about the project:
“The Christmas Candle reminds us that Christmas is not just about reindeer and shopping, it’s about hope and miracles. Classic movies like It’s a Wonderful Life show us that even in the most difficult times, we can hold on to the hope that surrounds Christmas. We made The Christmas Candle in that same tradition.”
This movie, set for release this holiday season, is centered around a small town where miracles occur once every 25 years. Boyle will of course do more than just act in the movie, as she will also yield her voice to the soundtrack. She has a new Christmas album coming out in Home for Christmas, and her song “Miracle Hymn” is going to serve as the anthem for the movie.
As for the future of “Britain’s Got Talent” itself, the show is going to be back on the air in the spring. There’s no word on the future of the judging panel, but we expect Simon Cowell to be back once again along with David Walliams, Alesha Dixon, and Amanda Holden. Want to read more?
