ABC’s ‘Castle’ season 6, episode 1 preview: Nathan Fillion’s Rick makes offer to Ryan, Esposito

Take a look -What do you need to do in order to get help from some of your co-workers when you need it the most? In the case of Richard Castle, you apparently send a not-so-subtle reminder that you are extremely rich, and you can provide something that the desired parties would very much want.

In the latest video below for Monday night’s “Castle” premiere (which is sadly not the best quality and courtesy of HLN’s “Showbiz Tonight”), you can see Castle trying to put the pieces together of a real-life mystery. Of course, he’s trying to hide that it is something based in reality, so he plays the classic game of pretending like is talking about someone else. Instead of saying that his “friend” is working on something, he tells Ryan and Esposito that he is trying to figure out something for a character in one of his books, and needs their advice. The problem? They can see right through his obvious charade, and they have no interest in putting up with it.

That, of course, is when Rick brings out the gift, in the form of front-row Knicks tickets. Suddenly, the two seem to be significantly more interested in helping the guy out. What do you know, bribes work.

While there is not much revealed yet about the Ryan and Esposito storylines right now save for a few grand overtures, what we can say is this: While there will be more romantic drama coming up for Jon Huertas to play, Seamus Dever will be playing Ryan this year as a man struggling with certain parts of his job. He has a child on the way, and his priorities both on and off the job have therefore changed.

Want to watch more “Castle” sneak peeks? Well, we’ve got all of them below for you to enjoy:

1. Beckett running into Castle at a surprising place.

2. Castle finding out that Alexis has a new roommate … in his apartment.

3. The big Castle – Beckett “swing scene” that should give you most of the answers to the questions left in the cliffhanger.
