‘Big Brother 15’ live feed spoilers: Spencer’s emotional breakdown

This is a little bit of an unusual “Big Brother 15” update, since what we’re technically looking at here is something that is taking place on “Big Brother After Dark.” For whatever reason, the live feeds are not up as of this writing, but we still have something to talk about courtesy of Spencer.

For a brief period of time tonight, we saw a very vulnerable side of the oft-offensive houseguest, as he read his Head of Household letter out loud, acknowledged some of his “crass” behavior, and then opened up about how he wanted to draw comic books as a kid. It was a very human moment for a guy that has often been disgusting both in terms of his comments and the way in which he acts around the house.

We’re curious about what exactly was going on here, and our guess is that the final part of the Head of Household Competition is still going on with Andy, who was not around for the meltdown. (GinaMarie was in another room.) You could interpret this if you want to as Spencer feeling like he competed poorly and that Andy is favored to win, but that’s just speculation. We’ll have the winner announced in the morning, unless the competition ends within the next few minutes.

Still, this was a strange little event to cap off the night, and it shows that there is at least some sort of heart there inside Spencer. It still doesn’t excuse anything that he has said, but it does make us wonder why someone who is capable of being vulnerable decides to often be so ugly and crass. If he had shown a different side to himself the entire game, who knows how he could been perceived by the other players and America?
