‘Big Brother 15’ live feed spoilers: GinaMarie and her legend of Nick

Nick -

Once again, we are faced with a familiar dilemma in covering the “Big Brother” live feeds: Watching it now for long stretches of time is almost like a cure for insomnia. It’s not that these people left are not characters, it’s just that we don’t know if there has ever been a group of people left in the game that are quite this delusional. You have Spencer brushing off GinaMarie’s offensive comments by saying that she can get away with them, nonsense about certain people that could win fan favorite, and even a claim that GM could be on an all-star season (which would never happen in a billion years courtesy of her n-word usage).

But now, we want to spend a bit of time, mostly because there is literally so little going on, talking GinaMarie and her bizarre / partially imaginary romance with Nick. Since the conversation came up again tonight, this seems like an appropriate time to broach the subject. How awkward does it have to be for Nick to watch this?

To Nick’s credit, he has been about as classy as he possible could be given all of this. He hasn’t bashed GM publicly at any point really during the season, and is still planning to keep his end of the bargain when it comes to taking her on a date at a monster truck rally. But we get about zero inclination that this is a relationship that could happen in the long-term, and Nick has a challenge ahead of him. If he wants to end things and be clear with GM about it, he has to do so delicately. She has literally spent two months now building this relationship up into the greatest epic love story of all time, and it is a symptom of Nick leaving so early. She’s painted an ideal of him that no man can really live up to.

In the end, the GM/ Nick reunion is one of the more interesting things about the finale Wednesday, along with seeing the reactions of people who have been out of the house and dealt with the backlash (Kaitlin, Jeremy) vs. those who are still on the jury and delusional about it.

The only other thing worth reporting right now is that production is at work on something outside, likely the second part of the Head of Household Competition to be done tomorrow. Andy and Spencer will face off, and we’ll have the winner for you then.
